What is your favorite way to stay active for yourself and your family? We go on walks instead of driving. We make sure that we get some kind of excersice in daily.

What are some tips you can share for maintaining a balanced lifestyle with exercise and healthy foods? We do alot of cooking at home. I read the labels more often. We eat alot of garlic and we just really like to watch what we eat. Although we do like our snacks 😀 We LOVE yogurt!!

How do you include calcium and vitamin D into your family’s diet?
We drink alot of milk. We eat veggies and we have been buying more Vitamin D enriched orange juice as well.

Thank you this giveaway and good luck to all! :flowers2:

Try to work in excercise throughout the day. When I’m not home, I prefer to take the stairs rather than the elevator whenever I can. Every little bit helps, especially when you have a busy schedule.

I try to eat a serving of vegetable with my meals, and for dessert, a nice piece of fruit. The vegetables and fruit really do fill you up.

Whatever calcium and vitamin D I do not receive from food or drinks, I make sure I get from vitamins.

Everyday i walk my son to school and while coming back i take the long route back so i can fit about 25 mins. of morning walk for myself and my son feels refreshed just before school starts. We walk to the library often to return books and dvd’s or pick up some new ones. A good way to entertain the kids and get our workout.

I always cook fresh food at home which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. This way i make sure that my family gets all nutrients from food as frozen food loses the nutrients when we thaw or reheat it. I make sure to include garlick and fresh herbs in whatever i make and i can control the amount of oil that goes in the food. Walking whenever possible is the best way to get some exercise.

My family regularly takes multivitamin supplements. The best way to include Vit. D in your diet is to soak up the morning sunlight . Place you child for breakfast near a window or door through which he can get early morning sunlight. Eating salmon is also a good way to get Vit. D. And as for calcium, milk, cheese and yogurt are the best ways to get it and exercise helps us to absorb the calcium.

My favorite TV shows are an hour long. I made my hubby put the eliptical machine in front of the tv, so that I get a workout while indulging in the tube. It make excercise go by much quicker, and I don’t completely waste that hour. We try to include foods like Yoplait yogurt in our diet to increase our calcium and Vitamin D intake, and cut out foods with high fructose corn syrup to stay healthy. Thanks for the great giveaway!
